Our commitment to
Peace and Empathy
01
Working on Self First: We commit to doing authentic, individual anti-racist work first to build our capacity for the empathy we need to hear and act with compassion when we hear another person's story.
02
Facilitating and Delivering Honest Dialogue: We commit to actively listen and taking part in straightforward discussions around race, color, class, religion, culture and/or sexual orientation where we might have to sit in our discomfort to learn and empathize with our neighbors.
03
Recognizing and Amending the Past: We commit to recognizing and amending the past by taking action against racist practices and policies.
04
Focusing on Peace-building and Self-Care: We are committed to putting resources into advocating for peace-building and self-care in our communities and neighborhoods.
